Ok I have set up an entertainment unit for my parents with mediaportal and it's through a 100mbit switch and is getting all it's video off my computer. When you try and watch the video every few minutes or so or when something intense is happening in the video it sort of buffers and locks up and goes slow to. I know it's not the computer as when I play the movie not through the network but directly off the computer itself it works.
Is there anything I can do to the network to help with this, or in the settings. It's transfering across the network at about 75percent so it's not that problem either.
