bug?: [Configuration] Default zoom modes not handled properly (1 Viewer)

I tried to make a bug report using RC3 a while back but didn't get much feedback so I'm trying again since the problem is still there for me.

When setting the "default zoom mode" to normal in the configuration and later, when MP is up and running, playing a videofile and changing the AR the configuration is affected with the change. This results in after playing an old 4:3 video and using any zoom mode, I have to change it back to normal when playing another video file later on. The correct behaviour should be that the next file played is launched in the "normal" zoom mode and not the AR that was selected from my remote while playing the previous file.

Steps to reprod;

1. Select a zoom mode that will be used by default in conf.
2. Play a video file and change the AR.
3. Stop the video and exit MP.
4. Check configuration. The value has changed

Others would have said the opposite so it's a matter of taste(actually not a bug), i like it the way it is....

Well, since you can confirm the behaviour it's not just on my box. pheew

But, that makes the option in conf quite useless imo

And.. I know MP1 is in "feature-freeze" but a poosible fix for this, as I see it, bug would then be to have a tick box to either use the zoom option i the configuration or to let it behave like it does now.
