Bug in MyTV-Series when switching views (2 Viewers)

Hey,

if I am browsing MyTV-Series and navigate to a corner (the menu appears) and choose "unwatched" the view changes to unwatched but MPs focus is lost. If I want to navigate via cursor keys the menu always appears instead of browsing the displayed series list. I have to click into the window to regain focus to the list.
Is anyone else experiencing this ?

The new way of accessing this menu is only by info key, this stops the accidental scrolling of all\unwatched tags, this behaviour was changed a few svn's ago.

Does this answer your question, i know i can focus ok after switching views on svn 20227 with Aeon Wide and xface skins tested.

could you elaborate what you mean by "accidental scrolling", please ?

I also am not sure what "info key" you mean since I don't use a MCE-Remote. I would assume to use F9 (guide), but I have to go down some steps in this menu to reach "change view >>" so this wouldn't be as efficient as "scrolling to the screens edge".

I am using Xface on 20227, too. Are you talking about switching views by "info button" or by "scrolling to the screens edge" here ?

I think what he means is that sometimes, after switching views, the focus on the facade is lost, and to get it back you have to use the mouse. And yes I have experienced this as well, although I am not sure the exact situation to reproduce it. I will try playing around with it tonight.

Can confirm this also. Unfortunately I also don't recall the exact situation but I think it could be that it happens if you had a series selected that has no unwatched episodes and then change to "unwatched". But that's guessing at the moment...

There are some issues with focus in the facadeview when switching away and back to it in certain situations which are causing, umongst other things, animaitons not to trigger.
This would also probably explain the behaviour you are seeing.
It is not something that can be fixed in the plugin, needs a core dll change, which is should be coming soon, am planning on working this through with Bavarian tonight.

In my experience there are all kinds of weird focus issues with the facade in particular and with focus in general with other controls. I am not sure if it was the same thing we are talking about here, but I had some focus issues on Moving Pictures and solved them by making sure only the facade had Focus set to true. Every time the plug-in is about to try to manually set focus on a control, it clears focus from everything else. So this might be a temporary solution to work around the bugs in the focus system.

Yeah there have always been issues with the facadeview and focus, and I always assumed they where isolated with the TVseries plugin implementation of the facadeview as it is used in a different way than originally intended; but recently have been able to reliable reproduce the issues using myVideos in the core so can track down the root cause.

If you have other specific examples please pass them along as we will be addressing them all tonight! (fingers crossed) so the more related reprodudable cases we can get the easier it will be to identify where the bugs lie.

After installing rev20339 the bug is still present on my machine.

abavarian:
- fixing #selecteditem set to null when a Dialog got displayed
- fixing mantis bug 1639: Icon view shows default icons as duplicates
- fixing bug no element selected on start
- fixing bug no animation when a property tag is used
- fixing bug MPA rating not loaded correctly from DB
- fixing no dialog item selected on startup

This is an excerpt of latest SVNs changelog. I am wondering if this was supposed to fix the issue or if didn't you manage to work through what you aimed to ?

Hi,
Been on holiday for a few weeks so getting back up to speed slowly.
Worked through some of the animation issues with Bavarian before I left (looks like the ones he has highlighted in the change log), but there where some still outstanding.
These where core facadeview specific and once we have them all ironed out I will take a look at any remaining specfic issues with myTVseries implementaiton of the control.
