bug or "feature"? (1 Viewer)

I have just set up two recordings - 20:30 to 21:00 and 21:00 to 22:00 both on the same channel

At 21:00 I tried to use the tv for viewing a different channel and it was reported that all tuners were busy. I guess the first recording was using one tuner while the second was allocated to the other tuner due to the overlap between recording - currently set to 5 minutes. I would have expected that these recording would have been in some way merged.

So is this a feature or a bug?

That depends - did you have the option "Ignore pre/post recording within block for back-to-back recordings" selected (in MediaPortal Setup -> Television -> Recording) ?

I found the setting - never realized it was there and even if I had I don't think I would have realised what it did
