I've noticed that after viewing an AC3 channel when i try to switch to any other channel (AAC) The video goes black, and the zapping osd doesn't dissapear, sound stops, and MP is unresponsive to trying to change channels, however if I press 'b' -> 'b' then it stops the tv stream and I return to the my live tv menu.

    In the following log file
    Start Mediaportal
    Goto My TV
Start viewing channel TV2 (AAC) - sucessful
    Go full screen
Change to channel TV3+1 (AAC) - sucessful
Change to channel TV2 (AAC) - sucessful
    Change to channel TV3 (AC3) - sucessful
Attempt to channel TV2 (AAC) - failure, the screen is black and the osd is unresponsive.
Now I press 'b' -> 'b' twice to stop the tv stream
I close mediaportal, and generate the log file below

This is a consistent error, I can reproduce this error 100% off the time, switching between all other channels if fine, the problem only occurs when I switch to a new channel with AAC audio while viewing TV3 (AC3 audio)

    Thanks

EDITED THIS POST AS MY INITIAL THOUGHT WAS THAT 1080i was the problem, but the problem seems to related to AC3 -> AAC audio switching.

Re: Bug: No video displayed in live TV after switching from 1080i channel

Problem is with audio switching and ffdshow.
    FYI TV2 is 2.0 AAC and TV3 has 2x audio streams (5.1 AC3 & 2.0 AAC)

MPEG/AC3 Audio Decoder = FFDSHOW Audio Decoder (AC3)
LATM AAC Audio Decoder = Monogram AAC Decoder

    - I will get a crash when i change from TV3 (5.1 AC3) -> TV2 (Stereo AAC)
    - However if I use the F9 button I can switch between AC3 and AAC while TV3 is playing, on the fly, without any problems.

If i use Microsoft DTD-DVD Audio decoder in place of ffdshow I don't get the crash. So I can solve my problem by using MS codec for TV audio instead of ffdshow, however I will still leave this bug report as there still maybe a bug with mediaportal rather than ffdshow.

*** ALSO WHY CAN'T I CHOOSE FFDSHOW AUDIO DECODER FOR AAC IN TV SETUP (I CAN CHOOSE FFDSHOW AUDIO UNDER VIDEO CODECS, JUST NOT TV CODECS) ***

    Thanks

TsReader doesn't support the NALU type of audio stream that the most of AAC decoders require.
