Caching Images - Clarification (1 Viewer)

Using the latest SVN (today's) but at the same time I have installed StreamedMP Skin and FanArtHandler plugin so not sure what caused my issue.

Basically MP just died on me mid song. No errors popped up, nothing and no MP process running any more (but a very very annoying noise being output from speakers)

The one thing I have done that is probably not wise is loaded some large pictures in thumbs\music\genre but these are all jpg files. My understanding was that the memory issue with caching graphics were down to png files ??

I can see the errors that the system ran out of memory but struggling to see why.

Any ideas?

Do you have moving pictures installed? Sounds like the image caching bug of the moving pictures beta.

There was a post from fforde explaining how to prevent this issue by changing a xml file but I can't find it. Maybe someone else can post a link.

Yes but everything I have read says that it about PNG graphics and caching at startup. MP died in the middle of a song for me
