Prime TV

Media Portal up and running nicely.

Server finds a heap of channels, mainly SKYTV marked in red so I assume encrypted.
Plus TV1,2,3,6 C4, TVNZ Sport, Stratos and Maori TV but no Prime TV.

I added 3=12707,h,22500 as suggested earlier in the thread but it is not coming up.

Any suggestions.

I'm no expert here but do you mean that no Prime is showing AT ALL? you should be getting the analogue Prime signal from your PVR-350 card at least. You only need the scrambled Sky Prime signal so that you can get the EPG data from it (I highly recommend doing that). Still strange that it isn't showing because when I added 3=12707,h,22500 to my Sat file it worked straight away. Might pay to post your full Sat .ini for others (more knowledgeable than me!) to comment on..

Good luck with it!

Prime isn't available on Freeview - Sky own it so you're stuck watching the analogue version unless you get Sky.

I met with someone from Sky today (with regard to work stuff - The company I work for reports on building projects while they're being designed which is a give-away for businesses needing sales leads in the construction industry: www.whatson.co.nz ). Anyway after we got the work thing out of the way we got to talking about My Sky & big screen TV's etc - I told her about my Home Theatre PC & Media Portal - she was well impressed with what it can do - I didn't even need to exaggerate :D

I have the TV Server set to save recorded stuff and timeshift to H:\TV
However when i record it saves to c:\program files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\

Is there some other setting to change to make it save to the other HDD?
C drive is not real big but my G and H drive are both big enough for video storage.

Bleazle I do have MySky as well but in a different room, alongside a new HDD recorder.
I have cabling between the Lounge and Office so can send to and from lounge to computer with my Hauppage PVR350.

Meanwhile the HVR4000 is picking up freeview channels nicely.

To have a nice setup like mcraenz shows on his site would be a dream but for now i will just settle for what i have and try to have it work as well as it can.

You have to configure the recording folder setting for both of your Tuner Cards (select the card at the top of the Recording Folders tab) - you've obviously set it up for one card but the card that's done the recording so far is still set to the default folder. Apparently it assists performance if you Timeshift and Record to different drives (that's what I do and it works great)

I don't have MySKy (or any Sky for that matter!) - I don't even have enough time to watch the recordings I have from FTA TV! :D

I have the TV Server set to save recorded stuff and timeshift to H:\TV

Apparently some issues have occured with timeshifting to same folder as recorded.

    So i set up mine

    E:\Recorded TV
    E:\Timeshifting

Still no lag as not moving files just redirecting :)

Excellent. Yes it was just set to one part of the same card. The 4000 has dvb-t s analogue and radio, I only had the *t one set.

    Thankyou.

Next question how do I move MyTV button in the client from Plugins screen to the Main Screen?

Go into MediaPortal setup (not TV Server)/Plugins/right click on My TV and select "listed in home page" click O.K. - sorted :)
