Are the channels being found when you do a scan? Make sure you set the country to NZ and set the source to cable NOT Antenna, don't know why but it only seems to work when set to cable (In TVServer anyway). I take it you're just using MP not TVServer, maybe a good idea to switch to TVServer.

Yes, all other channels are being picked up when I do a scan, but not TV1 (Channel 1). And other channels' reception is pretty good, just not TV1.

    quiet FANS ANYONE?

I'm planing on ordering some quite fans from the states, anyone keen?

    These are OEM NEXUS fans:
    Review of the NEXUS
    SPCR's Fan Round-Up #2: 120mm Fans | silentpcreview.com

    For sale in NZ:
    Fans & Accessories - 120mm - Nexus® 120mm Real Silent case fan, Black & White - Legion Enterprises - PC Cooling & Noise Solutions

The fans I'm ordering are from the original manufacture they will have a different label and will probably be black with orange blade but are the the same basic fan. I'll be selling them (to order) for $NZ14 each +P&P. I expect them to take about 2 weeks to arrive.

So anyone building an HTPC or just wanting to quieten down your existing one without paying a fortune now's your chance. Just let me know how many you want :)

Ok cool. I will need people to commit to how many they want because it will obviously affect how many I order :) I'd prefer payment prior to order but it's not essential, I trust you fellow MP users :D

Yeah I expect I'll be running these very quiet fans at 5-7 volts. But most fans will still be noisy even at low voltage. For example for my last HTPC I bought Thermaltake "SilentCat" fans supposed to silent, yeah right even at low speed they are too loud; SPCR won't even review that junk! The fans I'm getting are apparently the quietest and most favoured HTPC fan out there. Overlockeckers and HTPC builder have a very different opinion on what silent is. Check out silentpcreview.com | Everything about Silent / Quiet Computers

For me, working in ICT I'm constantly surrounded by PCs and servers and when I come home I just can't stand the wirring sound any more! Hence my quest to build a silent HTPC :)

Most of the time you don't realise how much noise pollution is in the room till you turn everything off and hear the sweet silence!

    Hi everyone:

Hope I'm in the right forum.

I live in Wellington (Churton Park), and have got MP setup with a Hauppauge MCE-150 TV tuner. I'm trying to tune into TV1 (via FTA aerial on my roof), but I just can't seem to get a signal or it's very blurry and sonwy. I tried plugging the aerial directly to my TV and it's OK, but just doesn't seem to work in MP. Whenever I bring up MyTV MP even reports no signal detected for TV1.

Anyone has any ideas what could be wrong?

    Thanks.
In standalone MP I have had to put in the channels manually as I cant scan and it works a treat. Just add a manual channel and set the tuning channel to what it is on your tv. From memory TV1 = 3, TV2 = 9, TV3 = 6 I think
I have added all my channels this way, 1,2,3,C4,Prime, CTV, Trackside etc
