1. Get the tvengine running with all Freeview channels:

*I haven't used mysql with TVServer I've only used MSSQL should be the same though.

* Uninstall any TVServer you have and delete the TVServer folder from your Team-MediaPortal folder under C:\program files folder.

*Install latest TVServer.

*Copy the attached files to:
C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\Tuningparameters\ folder (Overwrite: YES!)

*Run TVServer Setup

*Delete any channels that are there.

*Make sure your DVB-S Card is there and the LNB settings are correct.

*Scan The freeview transponder that you can now see

* If all your LNB settings are correct then you will have all the freeview channels

2. Get the front end working:

*Uninstall TvPlugin, Uninstall Mediaportal and delete the mediaportal folder from your Team-MediaPortal folder under C:\program files folder.

*Install Mediaport 0.2.3

*Install the latest SVN snap

*Install the latest TV Plugin that came with TVEngine zip file you downloaded.

*Load medaiportal

*Done! That't it everything should just work! :D

*EDIT* It wouldn't le t me attach the file Freeview.ini so rename Freeview.txt to Freeview.ini

Thanks for the how-to nice and easy lay out :)

before following your instructions i downloaded and installed .NET3.0 as per this post and everything has installed.
1. I didn't try and tune in any channels until after everything installed
2. I didn't run the configure MP after installing SVN.

Now everything is installed and i did put your files when you had directed but i can't recieve any channels now.

Before i had three and they were TV1, TV2, Maori and were found on 12456000V, and 12483000V.

I have tried scanning for different settings but maybe i'm missing something.
*Make sure your DVB-S Card is there and the LNB settings are correct.
what other setting are there other than choosing the right satalite. I have only one LNB

Thanks again for the help

Yeah it sounds like a problem with your LNB settings, what sort of LNB do you have? Have you got SKY one? If so is it a single headed one or double headed?

See the 3 single headed sharp LNBs used my mcraenz:
http://mcraenz.googlepages.com/mppvr

Basically you need to find out that the LOF (Local Offset Frequency) of your LNB is.

Actually I think I'll ask mcraenz to add another page to detail some of this freeview specific stuff....Please standby.

@catcol

I tryied your settings in the first tab but found nothing.

I've also tried

11300
11300
0

11300

0

10750

0

10750
10750
0

still nothing. Do i need to change the "band setting" it's set to "universal" at the moment.

@ryhs.goodwin

I think my LNB looks most like the larger black one on Mcraenz site. If that means anything.

Sorry everybody i know nothing about ssatalite technology or terminology. But I'm learning fromthe various posts i've read. I do know that if I ever get this to work that it looks awesome.

P.S. the card does work i have managed to "preview" some channels as per my previous post.

Thanks again

the second box needs to have 22000 in it, only the top value needs to be the lnb frequency of 11300 or 10750

Why 22Khz for the second LOF? I thought 22Khz was for the switch frequency for switching between the 2 LOF frequencies(if required)?

Damnit I forgot to check it last night

but on my setup I had to put the 22khz into one of the fields otherwise i got the same result as above ie. no channels. I will make sure to check tonight and take a screenshot of my tv server lnb setup and post it
