You are referring of course to using Reven's xmlTVNZ guide loading method. macraenz and I are talking about not using xmlTVNZ and using the guide obtained from the internal DVB-S tuner connected to the satellite dish LNB to collect the guide data which is then linked to the channel video/audio gained from an AV connection from the Sky box into an analog tuner card which has an AV input.

I have the MCE Blaster working in my MP single user setup. I could contribute but I never have done a Wiki contribution so I will have to learn I guess. (My blaster for channel changing works fine on two different STB's but for some reason when that is switched enabled in MP, the MCE Remote sends two signals for everything - if I push Up on the guide it takes two steps not one step.)

yes I am refering to using revens, that is because this is to get the programming guide for my hauppage 500, there is no dish on my new house so my dvb-s card is sitting there doing nothing, so the dvb-s stream is no good to me, also prime is not available on freeview so i will keep my analogue running.

So i still need to incorporate the programming guide from xml before i can get any listings in media portal.

    hmm, are you using DVB-S? If so problab yno need to xmltvnz. Also check out xmltv2 plugin for TV Server Search forum. It's much better. It lets you map a channel from the guide to a channel in TVServer rather than having to have exact matching Channel Names e.g. TV1 in the xml file could be mapped to your channel in tvserver "TV One"

    Right got the guide working by importing it before scanning channels, then i used the channel numbers ie
    Tv1=6
    Tv2=8
    Tv3=10

    to tune the tv stations, and that worked sweet, the problems is I can't remember the channel numbers for Prime or Maori Tv so if anyone has those around could they post them up.

    Also on the hunt for how to import channel icons, saw it somewhere around here.

    Found the channel icons.... linky

    Apparently these need to be stored on each client as well as the server machine, now I just need the tuning numbers for Prime and Maori

    Cool, got the icons, and you are right much better, now just for the analogue tuning information, mainly for prime, it was 50 or 60 something...damn my poor short term memory, or was it long term

    That site is great, unfortunately it doesn't have prime on it anywhere, now my cards won't find anything when they scan, i think something has gone west and it maybe time to go back to a backup and start again
