Your not sharing that huge wok with a SKY STB are you through a splitter of some kind? If so, you will need to be sure that you have power passing on both legs. I reckon the 22khz signal is well below the pass band of most splitters as they are usually 950mhz to 2250mhz or thereabouts. As far as the spliiter is concerned, 22khz is virtually DC.

I have 2 dishes SKY has its own dish with the new dual LNB from Sky. ( If you have sky and don't have one of the new LNBs just do what I did I put the dish of line and rang sky. they came and put the new LNB on and fixed up the dish. I blamed the wind LOL)
I got the switch working with the orignal drivers in PROG DVB but not MP I am now using the latest BDA drivers the switch will not work with eather now.I just ran 2 cables all the way from the dish to my puter and just swap them over.I was thinking if the switch was closer to the card it may work, but no.I would love to get the switch working.

NZ Wide is changing to TVNZ 6 and starts on Sept 6th, it's got previews running now instead of Auckland scenery and a epg

I could never get my dual LNB to go with TV3 server, worked with the normal MP with the 22khz turned off. I replaced it with one that used the default MP settings in the end.

HI everyone

With the two main types of LNB available, which is recommended? 11.3GHz LO or 10.75GHz?
Will the later be required for the new D2?

See most TRadeMe sellers have the 11.3 available

I think it relies more on the channel source - in this case skytv - for its EPG, I dont think it cares if it is mapped to the DVB-S or not. I tested this with one channel - Alt TV - and it still pulled down guide data. I will be able to tell for sure after work today as all of the channels should have refreshed.

Have you been able to confirm weather the channel needs to be mapped to the card?

I also tried combining analogue Prime with DVB-S Prime and then removing the digital Prime from the card leaving the analogue Prime connected to the AV inputs on a PVR150 card. I just checked and I still have EPG data being refreshed from the satellie. Currently I have EPG data for Prime until the 2 October. So, yes, geekiegeek seems to have a good point - well spotted.

Now, if only Sky NZ would transmit Prime in the clear. I am not sure why they encrypt a free to air transmission...

Ah sweet, thats good to know I'll remove the SKY digi channels from the DVB-S card. It will be even better if freeview transmit it, should be a better bit rate.

Considering the number of posts in this thread now, I wonder if its worth asking for a sub-forum for the Pacific Region. There's clearly enough of us in this area with the need for local support. Any thoughts?

Yes .. I agree.
GIven we have one thread which now covers the specific of Media POrtal and NZ ... but includes everything from EPG, Satellite settings, XMLTVNZ, hardware available in NZ etc etc ... make it a lot easier to find things.
