I Want to get the right card 1st time

    im using the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR4000 HD Quad-mode TV receiver, it has dvb-s too so if we need to get the epg off the satellite it could help.

    this maybe a stupid question, but how to you use the new MONOGRAM AAC Decoder? is a .ax file, i registered the last one in cmd prompt but i dont know how to use it in mp!

    De-register the old one as the new package will install it and register it for you.
    Also the configuration is done via MediaPortal configuration. Just choose the capable AAC decoder you want to use.

    yeah thanks i have just seen that, i sopose i should check out the software before saying anyting stupid!

    working audio great, but he video is a bit stuffed, what codec should use kinda works with core avc, doesent work with cyberlink, is there and update for cyberlink?

    i went to restart my system and windows it is f'ed so im going to have to do a new install on my frontend pc, if anyone gets it going can they please tell me what codec i should be using :) (for video)

    Use core AVC codec for video, however to decode h.264 you will need either a dual core ~2Ghz or a Video card that supports h.264 decoding.

    my front end has a intel core 2 duo 2.2ghz, i will try core avc again, it was working in an older svn but no audio :confused: when i have finshed installing windows i will get back 2 u,

    have you got it running ok mcraenz?
