Just a quick question: What is the best settings for Comskip launcher under Tv Server, i did have it working a while back but can't remember my settings and now i've updated to newer version i have lost the old settings ( I did a clean install)

All i did was point the plugin to comskip.exe, set it to run at beginning of recording and that was that.

i was under the impression that tv3 has been getting hd content for awhile, Im not sure about anyone else but i find that there broadcast quality is a lot higher than anyone else? at least for there prime time shows

Yeah I've noticed the same in my totally non-scientific survey. ;) It actually seems to have gotten better recently too so I'm not sure whether they're just subtle tweaks or whether it's the preparation for HD kicking in.

Still really liking 1080P but have noticed a few pops using the PowerDVD codec. I guess CoreAVC is most people's favourite now days or has that changed?

It would be awesome if someone could update the NZ wiki page with up to date info on DVB-T?
Also small things like urls to good updating weather maps for My Weather etc would be useful also, to get a more complete NZ MP setup.

I dont really know enough to contribute but i do have a .asx playlist file containing the most popular NZ streaming radio stations, which i see is referred to on the old NZ page. Try here, i might have a more updated version however. Any requests and i'll add em.

they had a good artical in the herald to day about hd broadcasts, and tvnz it basically said that tvnz would broadcast the Olympics in hd but that would be the only thing for awhile as they don't have the hardware, it also said that tv3 will make an announcement next week on what they are doing. there will also be Freeview | HD (which is broadcasting now) but they are not sure what content will be shown

I am using Revision 03-11-2008--05-05-Rev17890 of Mediaportal and Tv Server.

In the TV Guide in All Channels i have my channels showing up twice instead of just once. Any idea how to just show them once.

All channels seem to be duplicated in the guide.

In the Tv Server they are just showing once.

Anyone know if the DVB-T test signals are available in the Howick/Dannemora area yet?

Maybe i need a UHF aerial, the one i have is a very old Sky one. Any recomendations on brand/model for a good one of these.

Are you just using DVB-T or DVB-S as well. AFAIK if you're using both the channels will show up as different channels for different cards unless you combine the channels. If TV Server didn't do this you could have a situation where you had a channel with the same name but were only able to access one because it assumed they were the same channel.

If you're only using the one type (DVB-T only) delete all the channels and perform a rescan. If they still show up then do they have the same information as far as tuning information?

As a quick and dirty fix though if they are still appearing there is a show in guide tick box when you open the channel configuration in TV server and I also remove the channel from the All Channels group just to be doubly sure.
