im using the coreavc codec but when i use that i cant switch channels, but when i use power dvd h.264 codec i can switch channels no problem, but the frame rate is realy bad, what could this be, the cpu load is not full, could it be a crap graphics card?

im thinking of geting a nVidia 8600GT 512MB PCI-Express Video that has an h.264 chip onboard?

Does anyone have reven's xmltvnz working in the tv server xmltv plugin? I can't seem to get anything at all other than the automatically grabbed TVNZ6 and 7 shows on DVB-T freeview.

I have an 8600GT running with the PowerDVD 7 codec and everything seems relatively okay. Not a perfect silky smooth picture, but pretty darn close.

    Yup I'm using xmlTVNZ 3.0.0.11.

You can see how I've set it up here under the EPG Guide part

cranz, i've never seen that method of using xmlTVNZ before, it sure is faster and a heck of a lot easier than using bladerunner pro as i used to use.

I've been keeping myself updated through the reven forums, but have never seen this at all.

The guide you have up is what i've been slowly working towards over the last few months, now i need not type so much ;) I'll compare things though and see if anything i've done is missing from yours and we might be able to get an even more full guide up. Good work, it's what we've needed for a while now.

only thing iv got to do now is add uhf prime to the channel list, but i cant pick it up on my scans (i cant pick any uhf cahnnels up on the media portal scan)
Change the source from 'antenna' to 'cable' - that seems to open up all bands I-V, not just I and III in a default scan.

Hi - I've just joined the Mediaportal community, haven taking the opportunity to switch from XP MCE over Easter.
I spoke to soon, after 5 hours cloning, loading, tweaking and testing I switched back to MCE. I liked Mediaportal - great piece of software and I look forward to using it again with DVB-S (or maybe -T if Hedgehope is ever upgraded) but the bug with .dvr.ms support from MCE was a showstopper :(

Has anyone else had trouble with TV1 showing correctly in the epg? i think it has something to do with the labels not matching between TV ONE and TV1, but i can't seem to figure it all out.

Also, who has an analogue card and a DVB-T card running together nicely? I can scan for channels on the analogue but no matter what i do can i actually view them. Tried numerous restarts to no effect.

if the analogue part of ur card does not have a hard ware encoder on it then it wont work, mp only works with cards that have hardware encoders build in.
