have a look @ ur logs next time it freezes or post here. i have tryed ffthingy codec with no probem on dvb-t

when 1/2 way thu a blu ray movie it froze and and error came up saying that the graphics card drivers stopped working, what could this be (stuffed graphics card?)

OK so here's the next question.. I'm trying to play some recorded dvr-ms content from my old vista machine and it won't play, although I can seem to play them straight inside media player. Is there a way to get them to play idirectly inside mediaportal?

Sorry to change the subject again, but has anyone checked there epg tonight, at 6pm tv one say breakfast business, freeview have offset the epg by 12 hours instead of just one!, again my sky channels epg is still fine so must be freeview trying to fix it I guess.

PHansen re Nvidia Drivers :

I went back to 7.2.1.4 (May '05 release date!) for my GeForce 6600 card and don't have any problems now. The GUI is crap but once the screen resolution etc is set-up you don't need to use it again anyway

Bleazle, thanks for letting me know.

I think i'm in a bit of a pickle though as i have an 8600GT and would like to keep the HD decoding... Might have to stick to the first set of drivers released for the 8600GT on XP and work my way up to the latest.

Could be a good time to do a rebuild of windows at the same time i guess.

EPG appears to be fixed now. (1530 NZ)

Seems like all my freezing troubles came from my RAM drive not working well with the timeshift buffer and it would crash it out.

Changed the timeshift folder to a real drive and all seems to be better.

great, good to see it working , does anyone have probs with pausing dvb-t video? when u resume play back it just repeats 1 second of video?

Hi again everyone,

Couple of questions 'cause I just moved into a house without a Satellite, rendering my dvb-s card useless.

Whats the cheapest supported dvb-t card that I could find in Wellington today? I think pbwellington.co.nz have stock, anyone know other places around that do not need to ship from Auckland? Im thinking of grabbing a hauppage hvr 3000 - will this be ok?

Also, there is an antenna connection in the lounge which I assume is from a UHF aerial on the roof (havnt had the chance to look yet) - Am I going to be able to use this for DVB-T, or is it unnecessary?
