I don't know about Wellington supplies of DVB-T cards, but as for the UHF aerial, you do need this for DVB-T, without it you won't be able to receive any signal just like a normal analogue system.

Seems like all my freezing troubles came from my RAM drive not working well with the timeshift buffer and it would crash it out.
Changed the timeshift folder to a real drive and all seems to be better.
