Hi all,

My video card (EMPIRE TVFM 3000, chipset Philips 7130, is not yet supported or recognized.

I'm trying to call an external program, like for dvd players, that is able to work with my TV card. (e.g. beyond TV 4)

I'm not finding this possibility in the configuration of MP or SKIN.

Is it possibile ? how ?
Could it be a new feature ?

Thanks.

1st post... be patient, please.

Welcome mtode,
Another possible solution is to get your card supported in mediaportal. See this tread on how to do that. It might look somewhat overwhelming, but don't hesitate to ask if you get stuck. (and, as an extra bonus, everyone else owning your card will benefit too ;))

there's a few threads asking this question. There are a few plugins that call an external program. People have had success with these. Make sure you turn off MP always on top and possibly exclusive Dx mode.

    onkl,
I undestood that my TV Card (EMPIRE TVFM 3000) will not supported.
    I think it's a software encoding card... and I haven't software encoders
provided with it, but WDM drivers only. Therefore it works very well with
other TV Software (like beyond, windvr, etc.)

Best feature could be the external call, as I wrote in the first message.

I will try the plugin solution, as suggested by by Marcusb.

    Thank you all.

    p.s.
Software encoders were present in the original package, but they don't
work very well. Due to this I always use only encoders of other software
    (windvr, windvd creator, ecc.)
