    Hi,

Im trying to figure out a better remote setup for my HTPC. I previously used an MCE remote which i gave to my parents to use with their HTPC.

The problem is that my TV requires a rather complicated macro to turn on to the correct input for the HTPC(and i ONLY use this input), it needs to be send the 'PwrToggle' IR code, followed by a wait of 20sec(rear pro warmup), then it needs to send the 'InputVideo1' code, followed by the 'InputVideo6' code.

I have borrowed a Harmony 525 which can handle these kind of things, but i think its very awkward to have to keep pointing the remote in the same direction for 20+ seconds. Thats why i was wondering if an IR Blaster could easily be setup to execute the above macro when i hit one key on say an MCE remote?

Could i for example just buy another MCE remote and use the IR blaster functionality of the MCE IR reciever?

If it is possibly, what would be the best choice of reciever/blaster? The MCE remote is ok i think and its also extremely cheap but if its a poor choice for some reason i could easily get something else.
