Can I assign a remote key to activate vmr9 transparency? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I want to make a button on my remote do just what one of the switches does at the top of the Blue Two skin: make the whole skin transparent if video is playing. I've had a poke around the remote section of the config but haven't been able to find it.

Any ideas?

So this isn't possible then? I'd like to get rid of the top bar but like this ability to turn on the video as background.

You can disable the Topbar in the plugins section of MediaPortal Setup.

If you are using a Hauppauge, FireDTV remote, USBUIRT or SerialUIR, perhaps it is possible to map a button to toggle the background. Have a look in the Remote section of the Setup program. Look for the actions ACTION_BACKGROUND_TOGGLE or BACKGROUND_TOGGLE. I didn't try that, but it looks as if this is what you are looking for.
