Can I stop monitor going to sleep when playing music? (1 Viewer)

When I play music, after about 20 minutes the TV (and sound) go to sleep, even if I move to "Playing Now".

Basically I'd like MePo to behave the way it does when playing TV or Video fullscreen but for music. I'll still like the monitor to go to sleep everywhere else to prevent burn-in on my Plasma.

Can this be done?

    I can't think of a way to do this in MediaPortal

    There might be a 3rd party program/script that can keep the display awake while audio is playing.

    If you know how to use autohotkey you could write a script that loops every 5 minutes and would detects when MP is on the now playing screen through a .bmp search then would move the mouse.

    Ideally someone with C# could write a process plugin to keep the display awake via this:

    Thanks for replying. I am a C# Dev but unfortunately with 3 kids, a full time job and evening projects I just couldn't squeeze it in. :(
    What I find strange is that I have HDMI out going to my Amp and then to the TV. When the Windows "turn off display" kicks in and the TV goes off as expected, why does the audio also go off when audio is only going as far as the Amp and dedicated speakers. Audio is definately continuing to play in the background because if I hit a key on the remote to wake up the monitor the music starts coming back out of the dedicated speakers again at a point further into the track.

    AFAIK:

    The HDMI is passed through the amp, the PC is connected to the display. The EDID handshake occurs with the TV. So if the TV is off, as far as the PC is concerned it is now plugged into something that is off.

    There are tricks to stopping the PC from seeing that the TV is turned off.
