Can Media Portal show video previews as my video list? (1 Viewer)

When I'm viewing the list of all my videos, can it play a preview for each video instead of the film icon or whatever?

For example, if I had 20 videos in my folder, I would have 20 video previews playing at the same time...

I do not believe it can do this - I can see this being very CPU intensive! Unless of course each video has a small clip pre-made that loops - maybe a few seconds.

Or maybe it works like the Apple TV - a preview is only shown when the Video is highlighted?

Yeah, I can see it being very CPU expensive but I think the PS3 does it. (although it is a very powerful system)

I think maybe it caches the previews (eg. pre-generates them at a very small size or something)...

I'd still be happy with a video preview when you highlight the item though... is that possible?
