There is a thread further down that covers a multiseat setup where the DB is the one for all the "seats", but what about a multiseat setup where each "seat" has different DBs?

Say I have 2 HTPCs, one in room a and one in room b with different users and therefore different watched tags. If there a way to have this work with MPextended with only one MPextended install, or would I have to install MPExtended on both client computers? (is it even possible to run two MPextended servers on one network?)

Well, I can answer some of this, but best for Oxan to give you the final answer.

Yes you can run multiple MPE installs.

5.x does not allow for any settings/content/flags/etc to be different from one user to another. The ability to to some (if not all) of thee things is being worked on for 0.6, but that next major release will be many months on down the road. So from my point of view, it would be best to install multiple ones if this is something you need.
