Hi All,

I used version 0.2.2.0 for a long time and it was working wonderfull. I reinstalled my system and installed the newest version 0.2.3.0. When i want to enter a video folder MP seems to frees for a while and return to the screen where i was before (did not enter the video folder)

I deinstalled the new version and installed 0.2.2.0 again. Try the same thing and did his job. No problem.

Removed this version again and installed 0.2.3.0 again. Try the same thing and still the same problem.

For test i installed the latest version of mp on my laptop and this give the same problems.

Does the new version after install need some time to discover every video folder or someting or do i mis something? I have search the forum but it seems that nobody have the same problem.

Is there someone who can give me some help please!

Thanks in advance

Darre

I really got no clue whats wrong. You should enter MP, open my videoes and when it doesnt work, exit MP and post the log files. That will give some of the techy people around here a clue whats going on.

I dont know but maybe something have happened with the database handling between 0.2.2.0 and 0.2.3.0? Did you try to completely remove all the mp folders when installing 0.2.3.0?

Another thing to try could be installing 0.2.2.0 first and then installing 0.2.3.0 on top of the old one.

c\programfiles\team mediaportal\mediaportal, inside this folder you will find MPTestool2, use that for testing and upload the resultant logs, using the advanced features.

    Thanks

thanks for the responses .... I think... I solved the problem. I used the unc path in MP setup instead of the mapped drive letter to the same location (my media is on a server) and that did the trick. It is also verry fast. Only my music folder between enter the OK button and see the listing takes 30 seconds. But it is a big collection of 50 GB.

    I think that is normal?

Thanks !!! MP is a wonderfull piece of software !!!!!!!!!
