    I just bought 2 TwinHan Mantis 1034 DVB-S,
for now inserted only 1 card,
installed TwinHan drivers from the CD (1.0.1.5 if I remember correct),
installed MantisBDADriverV1.0.2.4 (downloaded from TH site),
    installed fresh MP 0.2.0.0 and
    snapshot MediaPortal-svn--10-14-2006--20-03-Rev11063.exe

but MP setup can not find this card !

Is this something in the SVN (like barbara reports)? Or am I doing something wrong?

    Hi Ronaldo2002,
i don't know, but test to exchange your CaptureCardDefinitions.xml with the attached one after you have changes .txt with .xml.
    good luck

OK, with SVN 11104 the MP setup now recognises the Twinhan 1034 ...... but .....

with channel scanning it finds about 550 TV channels but it finds none of the TV channels that I am subscribed to !!!!
I have an official 'Mediaguard 2' CAM and card from CanalDigitaal.

My subscription is CanalDigitaal on Astra 1G (19.2) with following TV channels (which are thus not found):

    Nederland 1 12.515 GHz. H 22.000 5/6 517 88
    Nederland 2 12.515 GHz. H 22.000 5/6 518 92
    Nederland 3 12.515 GHz. H 22.000 5/6 519 96
    RTL 4 12.344 GHz. H 27.500 3/4 512 80
    RTL 5 12.344 GHz. H 27.500 3/4 513 92
    RTL 7 12.344 GHz. H 27.500 3/4 518 90
    NET 5 12.574 GHz. H 22.000 5/6 513 100
    SBS 6 12.574 GHz. H 22.000 5/6 514 80
    Jetix/Veronica 12.574 GHz. H 22.000 5/6 518 92
    TMF 12.574 GHz. H 22.000 5/6 516 88

I do not know which channels are more not found.

For the record: my FireDTV on same LNB does find these channels!!!

It's unlikely a MediaPortal issue if these channels are not found as the same BDA engine that tuned your FireDTV is used with the Twinhan so the only difference is the hardware tuner or BDA drivers on that card and what it reports back to MediaPortal.

My suggestion - edit the 19degreesEast.tpl file and remove the unnecessary transponders only leaving the ones relevant to your subscription - then re-scan and see how you get on.

    Hi

Finally had some time to do some testing.

I am not an expert in this -far from that- but it appears that opposed to what I understand from you that not the same BDA driver is used for the FireDTV and the TH: when I uninstall the FireDTV BDA driver only the FireDTV is no longer found and vice versa: when I uninstall the mantis driver only the TH is no longer found.

I edited the 19degreesEast.tpl like you suggested to:

    satname=Astra 1C/1E/1F/1G/1H/2C (19,2°E)
    12343,H,27500
    12551,V,22000
    12574,H,22000
    12669,V,22000

but still the TH can not find 'my' channels! In fact it did not add any TV channel when I tried this later with an empty TVdatabase!

Out of curiosity I made the same scan with the FireDTV with this updated tpl (and empty database). This had not the effect on the found channels that I (maybe also you) expected. Regardless of this -or the original tlp- the FireDTV finds 608 TV channels!

Next to this (maybe very simplistic) I manually added 4 records to 'tblChannelCard' for Card 2 (TH) : with channel numbers 527, 528, 529 and 546 which are 3 subscription channels and one FTA found by the FireDTV but not by the TH. Still I can not watch these channels via the TH.

    Any further idea's / suggestions?

BTW I am using the MantisBDA driver V1.0.24 (the most recent one I can find at TH).

Something changed: I scanned with the empty DB and edited tpl with the FireDTV (as mentioned). Now I scanned with the TH again and this time this finished very fast:
only the channels of 12551,V,22000 & 12669,V,22000 were added to the DB and none of the channels of 12343,H,27500 & 12574,H,22000 !!!!

The TH seems to be only scanning the "V" channels and none of the "H" channels!

Can this be some setting I have wrong?

The Twinhan support does not include DiSEqC functions is a DiSEqC switch involved here?
