    Hi all,

For some reason, I am not able to view my recorded TV files via the Recorded TV option within MP. If I select a programme to watch the system seems to hang and the remote becomes unresponsive (it doesn't seem to even try to play it, but instead hangs in the MP My Recordings menu). I have to kill the task and re-start MP.

I have set up the Recorded TV directory as a video share and the files play fine via My Videos. Also, if I set something to record and then select the same programme via the TV Guide, it will play from the begining or from the live point without problem.

I have recently installed 3 new skins to try (X-Factor, Monochrome and PureVision), the problems seemed to occur shortly after that, but I can not be 100% sure the events are linked.

Finally, when I kill the MP task, I often have a warning telling me that windows needs to close the following application etc.... for "MTN.exe", could this be linked to one of the new skins?

    Thanks

P.S X-Factor was my favorite skin by the way.

    Sorry about that.

I posted it from work and I didn't have my log file to attach.

I terminated MP by killing the process in Windows Task Manager. Also, after terminating the task, MTN.exe went from 0% CPU usage to 90% instantly.

Please see attached and thanks in advance of any help.

    Cheers

To exclude possible issues with thums, first disable thumbnails creation in MP config because MTN.exe responses for it and its buggy. And try again.
And next time clear all logs before reproducing a problem. Your tswriter log is 111 MB, its too much :)

    Thanks for the advice.

I will try what you suggest tonight.

I followed the guide for posting my logs, and followed the steps carefully, do I have to manually delete the logs in some other way?

    Thanks

I disabled TV thumbs and deleted all existing thumbs and it solved the problem instantly.

    Thanks for your help
