Cannot change channel via numbers (1 Viewer)

Hi,

when I hit the 7 it does not tune in to VOX, for example.
Was looking for the error, could find it in the export.xml.
RTL2 is double as RTL2 and RTL 2.
But in the tv channels section in tvserver configuration there is only RTL 2 but no RTL2.

Do not want to do channel search again.
Is there another methode of killing this error?

I'll get straight to the point.

Your MediaPortal TV plugin config preferences specify that when you press numbers on your remote, MediaPortal/TV Server will select channels by index:

<entry name="byindex">yes</entry>

In other words, when you press 1 MP should select the first channel in the current channel group; when you press 7 MP should select the seventh channel in the current channel group.

You have one TV channel group: "all channels".

The 7th channel is RTL2... so when you press 7, that is the channel that MP/TV Server will select.

I think so far you know all this.

But in the tv channels section in tvserver configuration there is only RTL 2 but no RTL2.

Why would you have to channel search again?
Can't you simply create your own channel group with the channels in the order that you want?
...or if you want to keep only the "all channels" group, can't you simply remove "RTL2" or "RTL 2" from the "all channels" group?

Point taken. I thought you were referring to the "channels (51)" tab when you said you couldn't find it.
My guess is that the problem is this:

<map ChannelName="RTL 2" SortOrder="5" />
<map ChannelName="RTL2" SortOrder="5" />

Same sort order.
I don't know how this has happened.
I can suggest two things:

1. Try to "order by name" or "order by number". This should reset the sort order values... though obviously it would also mess up your current order.
   
2. Completely delete one of the two RTL 2 channels (whichever one does not work).

About the second point...
I can see "RTL2" has 5 tuning details:

KingOfSat says 11568 MHz doesn't seem to have any RTL channel, so I would keep "RTL 2".

Tried it via the "sort by name" and established the old order.
Still does not work.
So I am gonna export, try to delete the channel in the xml und re-import.
Hope I manage this.

Erased all channels from the all channels group and try to add them again.
Well I can click, Add to All Channels but no channels are added.

I also try to add new groups and add channels to them. No success.


Got it working. Re-Starting tvservice, MediaPortal and tv-server Configuration.

It only works now with a new group called "Alle".
The group "All Channels " stays empty no matter what I do.
Maybe this log can help?
