Cannot change Recording Folder (1 Viewer)

Hi everybody. Hope someone here can help, as I'm tearing my hair out after a disastrous attempt at updating a working installation of MP 1.2.3 to 1.3.0. Basically, the installer crashed during installation and afterwards it kept crashing on repeated attempts to reinstall. I tried everything but ended up having to do a clean install, which wasn't easy as the uninstallers still leave stuff behind even when you choose the full clean option. In particular, MYSQL wasn't uninstalled properly and I had to delete everything left behind manually. I had a lovely, stable system until yesterday and have now lost all my settings and data and had to start again.

As if that wasn't enough, I now cannot change the Recording Folder location in the TV server configuration. When I click the Browse button I get an error dialog:

"Failed to locate assembly 'System.Data.SQLite, Version 1.0.66.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139'. Note that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the the MediaPortal folder, the execution will now end."

The configuration program then quits. In short, AAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!

Would be nice if you could post all the logs.

But it looks like your installation is still messed up and you are missing critical DLL files. For future, I would advice to use "BackupSettings" plugin everytime you install or update MP.

Also when uninstalling, use "Full Mediaportal products cleanup". After this make sure that there is no MediaPortal stuff in Program Files and ProgramData (default folders).

Thanks for response Seco. I'll try to find the logs. Have done full cleanup, also deleted any remnants of MediaPortal and MYSQL from hard disk and registry. Still no luck after doing fresh install. Dependency Walker doesn't show any problems with SetupTV.exe program.

Checked log and initially thought it might be the old DVBFIX issue, but stopped the server, ran the fix again, restarted and still got the same problem. Here is relevant bit of the log:

Not many clues there as to what's happening when I click that "Browse" button. . .

SetupTV is .Net application, so you need to use tools that can show required assemblies.
DepWalker don't show needed assemblies - only DLLs. Most probably the only dependency it shows for .Net is mscoree.dll.

OK. None of the files in the folder show any dependencies on System.Data.SQLite, so I guess something further down the line must be trying to load it dynamically. I removed all old versions of the file from my system and put the version from MediaPortal in the System32 folder. Still no luck. Re-installed .NET and Visual C runtimes - still no luck.

As nobody here seems able to offer any ideas, perhaps another approach is in order. Does anyone know where the value for the Recordings folder is stored? If so, I can just try and edit it manually, as that seems to be the only setting affected by this problem. I used HeidiSQL to connect to the MP database, but can't find any entry related to the folder in the Setting table (or any other table for that matter).

Thanks Vasilich - I missed it when I first looked because I had forgotten that the folder is stored on a per card basis. I've edited it manually now for each card and my system is now recording properly again. It's a weird fault with the setup program though - seems like the error message content may be spurious, as the error doesn't seem to be related to System.Data.SQLite at all.
