Remember you still have the option to disable the feature to delete files through the GUI.

additionally you can set the attrib of your files to read-only in explorer.

Or else bind the [DEL] keyboard button?

this seems top be the most intuitive way, but I think the 0 has the "historical" rights. so it will not be easy to change. for sure not in featurefreeze.

anyway mixing up mappings in mp-standard and plugins will be the least intuitive way possible.

I just miss an easy way to delete movies from the menu - I also think that a Confirmation dialog still is needed!

Or maybe it can temporarely be solved by, just displaying the Delete file option in the right click menu, when standing in the list view. It a bit annoying to: Enter the Movie - right click, Choose Delete, Press OK to confirm, Exit the Movie.

There already is a confirmation dialog for deleting a movie in Moving Pictures. I was quite insistent on this when we implemented the feature. As for deleting from the movie list itself, you should be able to click "Movie Options..." from the main context menu. This brings you to the movie level context menu where you can delete.
