Cannot playback recording on dedicated client (1 Viewer)

Hi

I have a laptop (Win7 x64) with mediaportal client installed. The TV server is on a dedicated server. Everything works well. Can watch tv, watch movies, playing music...but recordings will not playback. Mediaportal client either stops responding or just freezes for at moment and then I can navigate around the client again.

Anyone with a suggestion on would could be wrong?

Please post systemspecs! See my signature.

My guess is that you are using MS codecs for TV. For me, this also made it impossible to playback rec. Using Cyberlink "solved" it for me.

Sorry for the missing spec...but I am just trying out a new laptop. Me original specs is on my HTCP and it would not give any meaning posting it here.

About the TV codec: I am using Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder....the same code I am using on the my HTCP (a full MediaPortal installation), and there it works.

I have tried other codecs like ffdshow with same result. No playback of recordings. TV playback works though.
