Synopsis::

Hello and please forgive my english if i'm not fully understandable (i'm a new french MP User ) .
I can't see 2 of my tv channels when timeshifting is on.
I get a black tv window and no sound, as if there was no signal.
If i record the channel a while, and switch to recorded tv, the record is fully playable with sound.
I i switch timeshifting off then the 2 channels ( french channnels W9 and France 3 ) display fine.
I triedmany audio/video decoder combination without success.
The log shows that these 2 channels have mp2 audio streams.
Do you have an idea ? is this a bug ?
Congratulations for your great job. I just love MP.

Yes, quite possibly it is a bug - have a look at the CVS bugs that have been reported here, and check if the symptoms are the same?

Thank you , i followed this thread :
Timeshift on randomly causes black/mute TV-Channel after switching

It's seems that symptoms are similar.
But the problem doesn't seem to be random, because it always occurs on the same channels ( for me anyway ).
I could see that the two channels that stopped working for me ( only with timeshifting on )in the recent CVS's have MP2 audio stream....
I also can record these "black" channels an play the records fully rendered.
Don't know if this can help.

I am not sure what you mean by MP2 audio stream - what do the other channels have that work OK - is that AC3?

Sorry, because of my job i couldn't follow the thread the last day.
Taipan, what i mean is that for the two channels witch are 'buggy', the mp log shows "audio is MP2" . For other channels, MP logs "Channel is AC3".
But as i said, i'm not sure if this can help.
I tested many CVS's to identify with wich cvs the bug came.
I havn't finished yet , but what i can say is that the bug is not present in cvs-02-15-2006--07-47 , and is present in cvs-02-28-2006--01-10.
I have to test more cvs's , but i wonder if the bug didn't come with this fix :
15/02/2006 [13:24:44] _Frodo MyTv : dual tuner twinhan problem fixed by patch from sourceforge
I'll report more when i'll be sure of the right CVS .

Hi again, that are my last test results :
This bug ( for my config ) comes with cvs-02-27-2006--01-04 and is not present in cvs-02-26-2006--17-17.
    That's what has been changed between the two cvs's ( from changelog.txt ) :
26/02/2006 [17:25:11] _Frodo_ MyTV: fixed stuttering tv when epg grabbing on 2nd card failed while 1st card was viewing
26/02/2006 [17:34:14] SteveV2 MyMusic: Add option to disable music overlay cover flipping (ignored when using external player). Set using Configuration.exe Music General Settings
26/02/2006 [17:34:35] SteveV2 Configuration: Add new Music settings page; Music Miscellaneous.
26/02/2006 [17:34:48] SteveV2 MyMusic: Add "Jump to window on Play Now" options; Now playing, Playlist, None. Set using Configuration.exe Music-->Miscellaneous.
26/02/2006 [18:41:17] _Frodo_ MyTv: added errorhandling to mpsa.ax
26/02/2006 [19:53:07] mosquiss Configuration: Autotuning analog tv grabs channel name from teletext if available
26/02/2006 [20:04:11] draktheas TVCapture - Fixed a problem with LOF frequency in TTPremium tuning.

Two of the changes have my attention :
    - 26/02/2006 [17:25:11] _Frodo_ MyTV: fixed stuttering tv when epg grabbing on 2nd card failed while 1st card was viewing
    - 26/02/2006 [18:41:17] _Frodo_ MyTv: added errorhandling to mpsa.ax

I have two cards but did all my tests with only one, so i guess that my troubles come with mpsa.ax MPStreamAnalyzer new error handling.
I have to say that switching between channels takes quite much time in cvs-02-27-2006--01-04 than in cvs-02-26-2006--17-17 .

Could frodo have a look on this thread ?
I could see i was not the only one to have such a bug, that why i did my best to give as much infos that i could do.
Hope my english's not too bad too.

I was testing this out just the other day... I think this was fixed in one of the last CVS files (03-14-2006--21-26). I went back to a CVS version of 2.15.06 and it was working back then. I was only getting the black screen when I turned off Time Shifting. I could get it back by simply hitting the TV button on and off. In the older version, it looks like it was doing this for you. There is another CVS out and I am going to do a fresh install of RC2 and try that one out. I will let you guys know what I come up with. But as of last night... it was working for me.
