TV-Server Version: RC2
MediaPortal Version: RC2
MediaPortal Skin: Blue Wide
Windows Version: Vista x64

Hi there,

MediaPortal runs fine most of the time (sometimes in the beginning, it shows me the "Timeshift and Graph could not be started" message, which sometimes disappears, sometimes not, but this isn't my main complain yet).
If i start watching normal television (SD), everything runs fine. When i switch to HD, i get no picture and audio, it simply stays black. However, MP is still reacting and so i switch back to a normal SD channel. Still, there is no video or audio. I first have to shutdown MP and restart it. What is the problem in my case?
It doesn't matter by the way, if i am using VMR9 or EVR. Also this is codec independent (at least i have seen this problem with FFDShow, CoreAVC, MPV Decoder), no matter which combination i took for SD / HD.

Thanks for help!

Wolf

I think I'm having the same problem. Since installing RC2, I can view SD fine, but HD channels are either black, or very slow and jerky... One time it seemed to kill the tvserver service, because when I quit, and loaded the tvserver config, it asked to start the tvserver service...

I just tried to deinstall all codecs i could. In the end, only MPV and MPA were left. So i switched to an HDTV channel just for fun and - surprise - at least audio worked! Then i reinstalled latest ffdshow-tryout and again - no video and no audio.. I don't get it. Is my system simply messed up?

Yesterday i did a complete reinstall of the system. New Vista x64, only drivers, mediaportal and ffdshow and still - it doesn't work. This is really annoying me, because i had HDTV with one of the first MP releases, so i think, this must be a mediaportal problem (however i havent tried a different software yet, so perhaps this also might be a problem of the TV card driver... ?)

There Is defo a bug because I can't watch any S2 HD channels. Premier HD and Discovery HD crash the Tvservice.

I can watch BBC HD fine though? it is DVB-S

try this patch. They know there is an issue.

I think it is only for RC2 with no SVN's.
