Cannot watch "scrambled" TV (1 Viewer)

I've just set up my FloppyDTV-C adapter with MediaPortal, and scanned for channels. All my channels show up and I can watch them in the FireDTV Viewer application, no problems there. Obviosuly I use the latest drivers, latest firmware. I have to use an Alphacrypt CAM for the smartcard my provider gave me. My provider is Casema/Ziggo, Netherlands.

When I go to MP itself to watch TV, I can go to the EPG which seems to be working just fine. I'm not sure where EPG comes from, but if it's pulled from the cable, then that part works. What doesn't work, is watching an actual channel. I tried a few, and it always says it can't timeshift because the channel is scrambled. And yes, these channels show ok with FireTV Viewer.

How do I unscramble a channel? Or better yet, how do I make it work?

So, uhm, this is still not working. I know it should, because my smartcard works fine.

Hi,
TV server configuration, "TV Servers - YourMachineName - YourCard". If you press edit, you can check "Cam enabled and present for this card".
Did you do that? Is disabled by default.

I've got the same problem with a FloppyDTV-C and a Dilog Conax CAM. I can watch the channels in FireDTV Viewer but in MediaPortal I get the same "Unable to start timeshifting Channel is scrambled" error...

Attach some logs so we can see whats going wrong(we will need both tv server logs & MP logs)...

Sorry I should have known better (I hate getting error reports without log files)

I'm not really sure what it means but maybe I should mention that (almost) all channels in TV Channels in TV-Server Configuration have red icons at them (as opposed to the green icons seen here) if that's important

Hey I have no idea of what I did but now it works, I've been mucking about in settings all night and was about to give up when I suddenly got it running. I changed back the settings I changed since last try one by one to see what did the trick but it still works anyway... I'll continue to mess with it for a while to see if I can break it, I'll get back to you if I find anything.

For the record, I was trying different things under TV Servers -> Machine -> Card -> Edit, afaik I only changed CAM model from default to Astoncrypt 2 but that setting doesn't seem to matter..

I had a simular problem..
When i tried to watch a chanel wich i didnt have acces to.. Anny other channels after that were scrambled..

The using FireDTV viewer i was again able to preview th channels i MP...
Had to use that quiet some times until all channels were checked..
