    Hi,
After a recent rescan issue, I dropped my Schema in mysql and let MP rediscover it's self.

This actually worked really well (I made some better choices about card priorities etc), and now I have DVB-S program guide info working for the first time ever! :D

Only one problem: MP has scanned correctly on my 3 DVB-T cards and found Film4. It also did the same on my one DVB-S card. Only I can't combine them. They do not show on the list of similar channels on other cards (in any combination). I can watch and record on both instances of Film 4, but they are separate in the guide (not a massive problem, but slightly odd).

Am I missing something? Why might this be happening?

Not sure if logs will help in this case beacuse I don't know if activities in this area are logged, also, last time I checked, log collector threw a wobbly when I attempted to clear the logs before running MP. Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Chris

If the DVB-S and the DVB-T Channel have exactly the same name. MP combines them automatically. Just right-click at Film4 and have a look at the DVB-S and DVB-T Tuningparameters. If the both filled out, the channel is already combined

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes and no would be the answer I suppose:

It looks combined in the TV server config, but not in MP which sees it as 2 separate channels and shows them separately in the guide.

The attached image is a composite of the two 'pages' on the guide and the supposedly combined channel in the TV server config.

    I hope this makes sense...

    Thanks,
    Chris

    so you have a Film4 and a Film4 +1 channel?

Can't you see the Film4 +1 channel in the TV server config?

I have a "Film4", [ANOTHER] "Film4" and "Film4 +1" Channel. Those are on different pages on the guide, like separate channels.

I can record Film4 on one DVB-S card by selecting the one shown on its own, and on any of my 3 DVB-T cards from the other one.

I only have Film4 +1 on Satelite, so it is not part of the issue as it does not need combining.

I don't think that combined channels should show up separately in the guide, wouldn't that defeat the object?

All other combined channels work without a hitch.

I will bring again this topic... I have an exactly opposite situation: When I did the scan, MP automatically combined dvb-t and dvb-s channels having the same name. I do not however want this to happen for a number of reasons...
Do you know of any physical way to separate them?
I was thinking about playing with the XML export file...

    Any help on this? ThAnks
