I watched a recorded program, (that I thought I'd allready watched previously)
After watching it (for the second time) I tried to delete it, (by clicking delete) but it's still listed, and it still plays.
So this is probaably why its still listed from the first time I watched it.

So how can I delete it?
Because if I delete it via Windows Explorer, it will still be listed in MP.
Many thanks

So how can I delete it?
I don't use MP2, so I can only suggest some things to check.

    (1) Does the file reside on a NAS? If it does, the failure to delete may be because the userid that MP2 runs under is not authorised for delete access on the NAS (i.e. MP2 has read access, but not update/delete access). When you use Windows Explorer, you are using your own userid, which evidently is authorised for delete access.

So perhaps you need to access the NAS as the NAS Administrator, go to its permissions panel, and grant everyone access to the directories where your media files are stored.

    (2) If you run a firewall and anti-virus software on your HTPC, it is possible that they are interfering with MP2's ability to communicate with the NAS. So you need to use the firewall panels to grant MP2 access.

    (3) MP2 may have a logging facility, with adjustable log levels. If it does, set the log level to the maximum possible and try deleting the file again. Then look at the log(s) to see if they give you a clue as to the cause of the problem.

    (4) MP2 may have a "clean-up database" selection somewhere in one of its panels (MP1 has such a selection). This would (hopefully) resync the database with the files actually present, and remove those database entries for files that you deleted manually using Windows Explorer. You will have to search the MP2 panels to see if such a capability exists.
