Hello,

I receive the message:

ERROR: COULD NOT DELETE TV RECORDING.

followed by the title of the show.

Any idea why this could be?

Thanks,
Mike

    Hi Mike

Not a clue. You haven't even said how you're trying to delete the recording. I'm not a mind-reader so *please* obey our support forum rules and post *full* logs and give a full description of how to reproduce the problem, otherwise your thread will simply be ignored or deleted. Using the watchdog makes grabbing logs trivial, so there is no excuse:

    1. Find the "debug mode" link in the "Team MediaPortal" folder in your start menu.
    2. Start it.
    3. Select option 1 "report a bug...".
    4. Click "proceed". MP will be started.
    5. Reproduce the problem.
    6. Close MP.
    5. The watchdog will then create a zip file containing all the relevant information.
    6. Post the zip file here, along with the description of *exactly* what you did.

Had same problem just the once, presumed it was the thumbnailer (mtn.exe) temporarily blocking the file as it eventually allowed me to delete it a few minutes later. Mtn.exe causes my harddrive to thrash loudly so I can hear when it's running.

Edit: Just happened again, definitely mtn.exe.

I've seen it a number of times since 1.2Beta (not sure about 1.1.2/3). It's not easily reproducible. Anecdotally it seemed to be when another recording was in progress, but I can't be sure. Always worked when I came back later & deleted the recording.

Some sort of file lock seems feasible.
