I have a little problem with deleting duplicate episodes. I have most of my episodes on my local harddrive. Last week my brother connectet his external HD while Mediaportal was running. That harddrive also had a lot of episodes which I have on my local HD.

When I noticed, that those episodes appeard as duplicates, one of them offline, I deleted the entire season or series and rescanned. But the episodes still appeard as duplicates, no matter how many times I deleted them from my database. Right now I'm using version 2.8.3. Is there any other way, without creating a new database?

    AW: Can't delte duplicate episode

Thank you. I'll give it a try.

    Edit: I think it worked!

Edit: Not it, didn't. Duplicates still appear.

The only other solution I have is to delete the DB3 file and not use empty.

You have to redo all your settings, but it is the only way to solve dbase corruption (though you might be successful with an SQLite VACUUM query manually after the empty).

If that still leads to double episodes, then my only explanation would be that you have in fact multiple episodes, perhaps on another share you forgot about, or false positive match to sample media. You can use the 'Details' tab in configuration and then the [+] expansion to locate the episodes in question and then examine the physical media it is matched with.

Once you identified the problem, we can work on a solution.

I decided, to just be done with it and emptied the database and rescanned everything. Thanks for you help.
