I have some recorded tv files in .ts format... when playing them back on one machine they work ok, but if I try to fast forward, or even skip 5/15/30 seconds etc with the right arrow button mediaportal crashes and I cant even tab out of mediaportal or get into task manager to kill mediaportal.

The same .ts files in windows mediaplayer play ok, but if I try to skip ahead then mediaplayer crashes.

I think that this may be a codec/player issue so wonder if anyone has seen and resolved this in the past? If this might be a mediaportal issue then I can gather up logs etc.

I am using the latest svn on win xp with cyberlink powerdvd8 codecs.

    Thanks

I spent some time trying other media yesterday... with an avi file I can skip and fast forward ok, and with live tv I can pause it and skip and fast forward it.

But on any recorded .ts file it just dies when i try to do this. If I run MP in windowed mode I can kill MP when it happens, but if I run full screen I cant get to task manager and it is non responsive.

Any suggestions what might be the cause of this? I suspect it's a windows issue, as when I try the .ts in mediaplayer it crashes mediaplayer if I try to skip to any point in the files... any ideas?
