    The issue with MP TV Server is the removal of the audio/video based detection in 1.2.0x

    I'm sure there was a saying "if it ain't broke, then don't fix it" LOL, no pressure then ;)

    Heh - yeah! :)
    Thing is that it was broke, otherwise we wouldn't have touched it. TV Server wasn't picking up some "mainstream" HD channels. Anyhow, that's another story... let's just say this will be fixed. :)

    Sorry i should have put in more details

    In Mp 1.2b i do a sat scan and i get the BBC HD channels okay but no data BBCi channels, now to do these i need to manually add each channel and i just couldn't work out all the settings to input, then have to do it for all the channels.

    In 4TR i did a normal scan and all the BBCi streams appeared as normal only the BBC HD channels were missing and that was just a simple matter of changing a couple of lines in the xml settings (sorry i don't know the correct name) and every thing was up and running fine.

    I also know that this is a beta and have no problem with that (apart from the above finding it much better than the stable release :) )

    Thanks for the helpfull replies

    Robert

    For anyone coming at this and wanting to add the channels manually:

    Then go to TV Config and to the TV channels section and click Add from left hand side (channel buttons).
    On the pop up window enter the name (eg. BBCi 1) then click on the add button and choose DVB-S.

    Set Channel to a channel number (ie. 1 = BBC One etc so you can enter what you like here)
    Frequency = 12441000
    Network ID = 2
    Transport ID = 2038
    Service ID - see below
    Symbol Rate = 27500
    LNB Switch = 11700000
    Polarisation = Vertical
    DiSEqC= None
    Modulation = Not Set
    Inner FEC Rate = 2/3
    Pilot = Not Set
    Roll Off = Not Set
    PMT PID - see below
    Provider = BBC
    Free To Air - Tick this

    The two items above (Service ID and PMT PID) are what defines the channel. For these you need to look at
    Astra 2B (28.2°E) Transponder 38 - KingOfSat

    In there you will see loads of info. The only bits you need are these two items. For BBCi 1 the SID is 6880 and the PMT ID is 256

    So add these in the relevant boxes and add. Then repeat for the other channels just changing the SID and PMT ID each time.
