Here Goes

Having some issues getting proper deinterlacing within MP.
So far i have tryed WinDVD (ver 6, 7 and 8), dscaler, Nvidia Purevideo and that MPV codec that comes with MP.
To my understanding, WinDVD, Purevideo and dscaler uses hardware acceleration for proper deinterlacing (DXVA?), and MPV uses software.
MPV deinterlaces fine within MP, and reclock show 50fps (because it's software DE i guess), 720x575p.
With the 3 others i can only get blending, unless i select weave which gives me....... weave.
But i prefer the picture quality of the WinDVD codec, so i'm hoping to get thatone to work, i only used dscaler and purevideo for troubleshooting.
I can get WinDVD, dscaler and Purevideo to DE fine when playing back a recording from MP in Zoom Player, with all the different renderers (overlay, vmr9, etc..).

Have been changing the values back and forth in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InterVideo\Common\VideoDec\MediaPortal, turning DXVA on and off (DXVA needs to be enabled before it will DE properly in Zoom), and changing the values of BOBWEAVE. Also made sure it only had the same keys and values as Zoom, sill no luck.
To my knowledge dscaler and Purevideo uses the same configuration in MP as it uses in Zoom, so when it's DE'ing in Zoom, the same codec configuration should also be used in MP.

Do believe i have tried all possible combinations in the config of the different codecs in a desparate attempt to get it to work. only got 3 hours of sleep before work yesterday because of this damn thing :)

Have also been fiddling with the DE setting in MP config to see if that was the culprit..... nothing.
Don't remember it ever changing anything though.

Proper DE in MP with those codecs has worked before on that setup, had to reformat it a while back and haven't been able to get it to work since.

Log attatched

Hope someone can help me out here, and tell me what i'm doing wrong, so i can get som sleep tonight :)

Forgot to mention, when playing back the MP recording in WinDVD's own player, i can't get proper deinterlacing either, even though it should, according to the setup.

    Hi Hustler,

I also have deinterlacing proplems with PureVideo, WinDVD and Cyberlink codec.
    read her https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=14274
With the MP's MPV decoder deinterlacing are fine but the pictures are not sharp and CPU load was high. PureVideo and WinDVD are only have 10% - 15% CPU load but the MPV decoder from MP have up to 60%.
Have some nights tested with different codecs, settings and driveres but always the same.
Is your CPU an Athlon XP with C&Q or without?

    UPDATE:
Have another Videocard with GeForce 7300GS 256MB from Gigabyte. 40 Euros cheaper as the 7600GS but the same performance for Videos.
    Results are the same.
