Hi,
I have been struggling with setting up the DVD for hours. PowerDVD / VLC works fine, tried both powerdvd and ffdshow codec in mediaportal but no luck. As soon as I click on play dvd it brings me back to the menu. Logs with debug (with powerdvd):

*UPDATE logs removed to clean up, new post has attached*

I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Andras

So where are you trying to play this from, inserted disc, or Hard drive.

Please also do not paste logs into post, it makes a real mess trying to follow a whole thread, all logs need to be provided by the debug mode found under your START menu and the produced zip file uploaded using the forum advanced + and then attached, same for any pictures.

Using DVD Navigator with M$ set for video and LAV filter set for audio, DVD's are working fine.

This debug tool looks extremely handy, thank you and sorry for the mess :)
The dvd is an original disk in the drive. Unfortunately I cannot change it, im trying to set this up remotely and nobody is at home. Just started to download an iso to see if it makes a difference.
Using codec settings according to your recommendation unfortunately didnt work, logs attached.

As far as i can see it in the log it builds up everything, about to start, and stops and closes everything...

Do not think most people play disc's around here, normally rip them to hdd as iso or dvd structure video_ts.

Sadly without that particular dvd to test, we might never know the problem :(

Yes, that's what I recommended my neighbour, but even convincing him to connect the HTPC to internet was hard :p
I think I will just attach PowerDVD as external player.

    Thank you for the help!

    Hi kosztyua

Looks like the error is a null pointer exception in the MP code - that should be fixable assuming that the problem can be narrowed down...
