Hello,

after 2 weeks of configuration and testing a stable config I'm finally in preproduction phase.

I have a problem which I can't solve. I read alot in the forum but still can't get it working.

I have a Thermaltake DH-102 case with a iMON OEM Touch LCD + IR Reciever. I'm using my Logitech Harmony Advanced as a Remote.
I've loaded two Profiles from Logitech to the Remote. One is a MediaPortal Profile the other is a Windows Media Center Profile.
With both I can only move the Arrows up und down, OK-button works and turn off/on the PC.
I can't jump directly in MediaProtal into MyTV or MyVideo etc.

I've tried it with the installed iMon software 7.60 and 6.2.
I've tried it with IR Server Suite 1.4.2.2963. (I deinstalled iMon of course)
I've tried it with nothing, just set MCE Remote in MediaPortal. (Just standard Microsoft Windows drivers)

I have no idea what kind of config I need to get the Remote working with MediaPortal, so I can jump directly into menus like MyTv, MyPictures etc....

Can somebody please help me on this, :D

Antworten sind auch auf Deutsch möglich. Danke.

OK. I gave it a last try in the night. I finally got a working config but I'm not satisfied yet.

I again installed iMon 7.60, in MP the shortcutter plugin and a iMon mapping file I found in this forum. Then I remapped the Buttons in iMon and it's working now, so I can jump directly in MyTV etc...
Shortcutter Link: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-plugins-47/shortcuter-plugin-shortcuts-mp-sections-32747/
Mapping File: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/installation-configuration-support-53/imon-remotes-mapping-mediaportal-29442/

I still can't use the full potential of the Logitech remote. In the iMon Software there's no possibility to define keys on your MCE Remote (I coudn't find a way, it's finished template for a MCE Remote) and I can't programm other remote Keys like, Guide, Info, Exit and Numbers.

Does anybody have a idea which software is more flexibel?

:D James.

I have the exact same problem but I do not have an iMon reciever, just a HP IR Reciever. The only way to fix it for me is to set mediaportal to generic hid and turn off the Media Center part. Thing is it doesn't all work, the menu exit info and guide buttons dont work, infact exit does but not the others. Would be nice to set this up properly? Any help?

    just a HP IR Receiver

Can you tell us what that is recognized as under device manager, usually found under usb section, well I take it it's usb.

Also make sure any onboard ir devices found in device manager are disabled, as they can interfer.

    Welcome to MP :D

Ok guys, I have just updated the "My System" part of my profile to make things a bit easier when helping me. The IR receiver I am using is:

HP Media Center IR Infrared USB Receiver OVU400103/00

From what I gather from the XBMC website this is the best reciever to work with the Harmony One remote as far as responsivness goes.

I have no onboard IR devices in my system. And my HP IR receiver is listed as "eHome Infrared Receiver (USBCIR)" in my device manager.

Just to add. I have used Windows Media Center with this setup and remote and the remote worked fine. Except for the slow responsivness. Also, when I program my Harmony One remote to work with MediaPortal I use [Computer] - [Media Center] - [Microsoft] - [Windows Media Center]. What I have noticed though is when I go to delete the device I just created on my Harmony it askes me the following question:

Are you sure you want to delete your Microsoft Media Center PC (Windows Media Center (EU))?

Notice the "EU" part at the end? Maybe this has something to do with it as im from the UK so maybe it is adding the European settings and maybe this is why it is not working properly with MediaPortal. Im just guessing here.

Thanks for your help and time so far people.

    Hi,

I also use imonpad rm200 and use a harmony one

    I installed imon driver only!
    I installed latest IRSS
    My Imon works very well
My harmony in activity ( watch movies with mediaportal) is working BUT every now and then i get multiple button strokes in MP what causes mp to stress en hang into muliple signals receiving. It could be a workaround to send a delay with each button.

What i have found on this forum is one conclusion : get another ir receiver instead of imon and set it ot mce configure your harmony one and it will work. I still have to order a different ir receiver and hope to get it to work instead of the terrible imon pad!

ir receiver for instance : Internal IR w/MCE Remote is payable, intern , start up and shutdown or hiberate your mediacenter.

    Hope this helps a bit.
