Can't get Harmony One Advanced to work correctly with MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Hi I just got my harmony properly setup after months of head scratching. I think it may require a Microsoft IR receiver, but it works and *may* work with other receivers. Basically Microsoft manufacture infrared keyboards and logitech have a couple of profiles for this. This means you can map buttons on your harmony to keyboard buttons like letters etc and also the second profile has some CTRL + {KEY} buttons which you can map to your remote and then use with Shortcutter plugin to get into specific plugins in mediaportal.

For all standard MCE remote buttons, you can use the Media Center profiles on your Harmony or map those functions to the keyboard equivelents already used in Mediaportal.

May be of some use. Not sure as I only have an official Microsoft USB IR receiver.

My harmony in activity ( watch movies with mediaportal) is working BUT every now and then i get multiple button strokes in MP

If you are experiencing multiple button strokes with a Harmony remote.. Load up the Harmony software then..

- Goto 'Devices'
- Click the 'Settings' button for the device you have which is giving the multiple strokes
- Select 'Troubleshoot' and click 'Next'
- Select '[Your Device Name] responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionally' and click 'Next'
- Adjust the setting as explained
