I go on holiday for 4 days and you're back to WMC again? :(

1080i - I really can't go back to 720 or otherwise reduce the picture quality
The only reason to do any of the stuff kilik360 mentioned would be if your hardware - particularly GPU and/or CPU - isn't powerful enough to play 1080i 59.94 fps video streams. That may or may not apply for kilik360's setup... but it's clearly not the case for your setup since you don't have a problem with WMC.

I didn't realize there were issues with the Colossus and Media Portal.
AFAIK there aren't any. With the greatest respect, you just seem to have hit the panic button again. ;)

Hmmm...the settings tab (#5) is blanked out. I can't do anything with it.
Sometimes some or all of the fields may be disabled, but never the entire tab. Anyhow, let's put this aside for the moment. What about steps 8 through 12?

Has anyone got MP2 to recognize the HD-PVR2? Looks like all the posts are about MP1. I have MP2 installed and while Windows recognizes the PVR, it does not show up in the list of tuners (see attached pics)? Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, just to try it, I tried switching out the above dlls described in the link you gave me in MP2, but the TV configuration wizard wouldn't start up after that.

Under updates and fixes, it says that support for the HD-PVR 2 has been added for the Spring 2016 release. Is there something I am missing?
My understanding is that it was withdrawn just before release. I guess the release news was not updated to reflect that.

I did say that the DLLs would only work with MP1 and not with MP2... ;)
