    Hi,

I took one look at this plugin, & thought: WOW, I want this. But can't get it to work & am wondering if it has to do with the way I name my files.

I have MP RC2 with 20010 SVN revision installed, using Blue Two Wide skin. I installed the My TV Series *.dll to "Mediaportal>Plugins>Windows" & the language folder to, "Mediaportal>Language"

I tried setting the *.dll to the primary folder, but lost some available options in the 'home' screen.

I name my TV series with a numerical prefix for easy burning using Nero, ie. '1.01-Midnight On The
Firing Line.mkv'. This is the first episode of Babylon 5's season 1. The prefix means: 1=season 1 & .01=episode 1.

Can this plugin recognise the actual title & see past the prefix? The logs show it recognises the media files & attempts to get the information but says there is nothing to do.

If I try a manual download of the episode, it hangs on the the Babylon 5 & does not allow me to input the season number.

Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Are those "1.01 - Title.mkv" files inside a folder named "Babylon 5" ? If not, it cannot know which series it is and thus will fail.

If it is, then try going to parsing expressions, select simple and add "<series>/<season>.<episode>-<title>.<ext>" and retry.

Else post a log of you importing.

And BTW, this should have been posted to the Rules/Expressions request thread, but I'm too lazy to move it....

First up, thanks for the quick response, it is really appreciated, given the rather large amount of support you supply in this forum area.

I realised that I had put this request in the wrong thread only after having started reading the expressions' request thread. I would suggest a header readme post to convey what is required. An easy & quick method to ensure newbies like me get it right:oops:

Thirdly, you are spot on with what I am trying to achieve. I thought I had tried that parsing expression, and they failed. But it was at night after a long day. Will have to check my TVSeries configuration as I've just gotten home.

Query: can I achieve results similar to the screenshots in the WIKI -which is what really caught my eye- with simple parsing expressions? Or do I require a more evolved methodology with regex? Thanks. I'm referring to the use of banners as links to the series folders etc.

Finally, I have some other forms of indexing certain TV series, from earlier rips but will good & start another post in the appropriate thread.
