I have tried to install several extensions (i.e. Moving Pictures and MP Series) and keep getting an error that the Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary.dll is missing. Upgraded to MP 1.25 and still getting the error. How do I install this DLL/library? I searched the entire C: drive and the file does not exist.

    Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary.dll
IT specialists observed that Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary.dll could also be related to multiple other applications, such as SDL MultiTerm, Advanced System Protector, Activeris AntiMalware and RegServe. On its own, the file is not malicious and is related to computer software.

DLL stands for dynamic link library, and these files are very similar to .exe files. They are executable files; however, they cannot be launched without the .exe file. DLL allows different software to share same functionality, for example, printing. Whenever to use a program to print a document, the Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary.dll is used to do so. If you decide to use the same function in another app, the same file will be called up again.

I don’t remember using this library in the Media Portal, there may be a problem in the operating system or in third-party software that interferes with the installation of the Media Portal and its components.

It is a fresh install of Windows 10 and the only software I installed was MediaPortal (it doesn't even have antivirus software yet).

    Thanks ajs!

I don't have ACT software installed. And I search my hard-drive there is no file by that name. When I tried to install the 2 extensions both complained about "file does not exist". I ran Windows Update until it said it was all up to date. After installing Windows 10 I immediately installed MediaPortal 1.25. And then tried to install some extensions. I find it hard to believe the computer is already infected but I can run some virus scans or Malwarebytes.

@crusadre Hmmm, Looks like I was wrong, I found a mention of this library in the source code of the extension installer. Sorry. :coffee:
Perhaps some kind of error occurred while installing the extension management plugin.
    Try reinstalling Media Portal completely.
If it does not help, then you can try to download this library MediaPortal/MediaPortal-1 and place it in the folder with the executable files of the Media Portal (Mediaportal.exe ...).
    Sorry again ...

@azzuro , should this library be installed with the Media Portal? Github is online, does not find links to it in the installer (but he is not always looking for it correctly, so I can only check at home, and this will not be soon). Maybe you look into the installer scripts, we did not lose it by accident.
