can't launch MP with remote due to: software restriction policy (2 Viewers)

I've got a Hauppauge HVR-1250 and I've modified c:\windows\remote.ini to set media portal as the default application to launch when the power button on the remote is pressed ( Media Portal=C:\PROGRA~1\TEAMME~1\MEDIAPortal.EXE ).

This worked when I was using MP and Vista, however I've recently done a clean install of Win7 Home Premium and I now get the following error:
Windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.

Unfortunately the system administrate is me and I'm out of ideas

OK I solved my own problem. The option in mediaportal config to set up a policy to prevent MCE from launching was working very well.

The other issue was I had the wrong path to mediaportal (needs to be progra~2) so it was defaulting to MCE.
