I don't seem able to get off the starting block with RC3.

I installed Windows XP SP3 and then I did a clean install of MP RC3 which appeared to go well. When I tried to enter TV Server Configuration I get the usual Setup Database Connection screen. I entered the password and, after a little think, it came up with:-

"Connection error: An error has oiccurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections, (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)."

Any ideas?

as quick-and-dirty solution you could uninstall Microsoft SQL and install MySQL. This helped me once (I changed the copmuter´s name and afterwards failed to connect server).

dowwnside: You have to configure everything again of course (inclusive channel scan, epg...)
