Can't play any movie (1 Viewer)

Hi, I installed mediaportal on a fresh, clean windows 7 installation.
Every time I had a 'cannot play.. avc, vc1, dts' and whatever message it just refuses to play anything.
I then installed mpc-hc, haali, ffdshow, removed mediaportal, installed it again yet it does not give me the option to choose ffdshow as codec for anything or so. It looks like mediaportal is running on an island and making itself just totaly useless :s
I'm currently using xbmc again (yes everything else just works fine)

How can I solve this?

I suggest the pack SAF (4 or 5), you can find it in the forum.
Remove all your installed codecs and install SAF, which containts everything you need for Mediaportal.
I'm using it for a long time now (first on XP, then on Vista, and now on 7) and I'm very happy with it.
