Can't play CC'd mkv with LAV (1 Viewer)

Similar to this thread, but the dll offered therein doesn't fix the problem.

All mkvs that have subtitles (or marked closed captioned) do not play. All other ones play with no issue.

Screen doesn't change on fail. Can press stop and continue with MP as normal.

Any fix or setting to change?
