MP 0.2.1 standard.

I used to have no problems with music, however I recently added a new HD and moved around some of my mp3 collection and since then I cannot play music that I downloaded from wippit. Windows media player has no problems so my license is correct. Also my own ripped tracks work fine, it seems to just be the drm (is that right?) tracks......

The logs simply show this:
15/12/2006 18:23:30 578 [ERROR] PlaylistPlayer: *** unable to play - D:\media\music\jonathan\Snow Patrol~Set The Fire To The Third Bar~1~Set The Fire To The Third Bar (Album Version).wma - skipping track!

I'm affraid thats not too useful. In the interface I select the track and nothing happens.

I've tried rebuilding the music database in the setup app... I've also tried deleting my database files and starting again.... still no joy.

Anyone have any ideas as this has me stumped.

Cheers,

Jon

DRM protected tracks are not supported.
Reason for that is that we would need to apply for a certificate, which has yearly costs.
not possible for an open source project.
you need to use WMP for drm protected music.

Thats strange because the files used to work. I had to play a newly downloaded track on windows media player first (which is when it got the license from wippit) then onwards it worked in team media portal...... strange.

    Thanks for the replies tho.

have you played the tracks in WMP since you moved them to another location?

I don't know how the license system works (and have no desire to find out) but it's possible it expects the files to be in their original location and so they are not accociated any more.
